I recieved this from Venture Outdoors today.
1,619 Boats! We did it!!
It’s official! We set a World Record! The Pittsburgh World Environment Day Partnership is pleased to announce that on last year’s WED on June 5, 2010, this region broke the world record for largest raft of canoes and kayaks! Hey Mark! About time to get back on the water for some paddling?
ReplyDeleteHi Mike. The weather hasn't been fit whenever I've had time. It's been raining here a lot and the rivers are very high and full of debris. There was a 3 day sojourn in our area this past weekend that I would have loved to participate in but I couldn't fit it in. It rained all weekend but 38 paddlers toughed it out. Maybe next year. They're calling for good weather on the weekend (for a change). I'm hoping to get out to Loyalhanna for my first "ramble" of the season.
ReplyDeleteHowdy Mark! Hope you can get back out on the water soon! Missing your "rambles." ;-)
ReplyDeleteHi Mike, I'm hoping to get out soon too. I been extremely busy lately. The problem with being on the wsater so much last year was that I put off work on my house. I'm paying for it now! We live in a beautiful 115 year old Victoria home that DEMANDS yearly maintenance. I'm also spending a lot of time with that new grandson of ours. It's hard to believe he's going to be 7 months old this week. Right now I have to live vicariously through your adventures on Durhamblogger.
