I've been wanting to upgrade to a better kayak, but I ran across this picture and now I'm considering a canoe instead. Maybe I could get Jackson on the water a little sooner. I'm seeing a "Boys Camping Weekend" with my son and grandson in my future. :-)

    Mark - Canoe & Kayak (March 2011)issue reviews 5 family canoes. Might give you some ideas on what to look for in a "family-friendly" canoe.
